Scope

This Policy describes how the mobile app “Sudoku OTG” handles data. The app does not require an account or cloud sync. Your game data is stored on your device. Banner ads are shown on iOS only.

Personal data under Hong Kong law

We follow the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and its Data Protection Principles. We take practicable steps to ensure purpose limitation, data security and access/correction rights.

What we collect

• On-device app data (stored locally via SharedPreferences): settings, game progress and statistics. This data is not transmitted to Japality Limited.
• Advertising data (Google AdMob, iOS only): the ad SDK may collect device information such as IP address, device model, and, if you consent to tracking, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). AdMob acts as an independent party for its own advertising purposes. See Google’s policies below.
• Crash/diagnostic data (if provided by the operating system or ad SDK): used only to improve app reliability.

How we use data

• Operate the app (maintain your settings, game progress, and features).
• Display and measure ads on iOS devices through Google AdMob.
• Improve stability and user experience based on diagnostics.

Tracking, ATT and SKAdNetwork

On first launch, the app requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS. If granted, AdMob may access the IDFA for personalized ads and measurement. If denied, ads may still appear; attribution may use Apple’s SKAdNetwork. You can change your choice in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

International transfers and third parties

Advertising and diagnostic data handled by Google AdMob may be processed on servers outside Hong Kong. Japality Limited takes practicable steps to select reputable service providers and expects them to apply protections comparable to PDPO requirements. Please review Google’s own privacy documentation for details.

Retention

• On-device data persists until you uninstall the app or use in‑app reset options.
• Advertising/diagnostic data retention is determined by Google AdMob in accordance with its policies.

Security

Your app data is stored locally on your device. We use reasonable safeguards and platform best practices. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data via third‑party services, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Your rights (access and correction)

Under Hong Kong PDPO, you may request access to and correction of personal data held by us. Because Sudoku OTG stores gameplay data locally and Japality Limited typically does not receive it, we may have limited ability to identify you or retrieve on‑device data. For requests, email japalitylimited@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where applicable, within the timeframe contemplated by PDPO.
