This Privacy Policy explains how UnitNow ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). This policy covers the Android version distributed via Google Play and may also apply to other platforms where noted.

Who We Are

UnitNow is a free unit conversion app. We do not operate user accounts and we do not ask you to register or provide personal details to use the App.

Information We Collect

• Information you provide directly: None. The App does not require an account or user-submitted personal data.
• App preferences stored on device: Language, decimal precision, and rounding settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
• Advertising and diagnostics data (via partners): We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob and related Google services may collect information such as Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), device information (model, OS version), app version, and ad performance metrics. How We Use Information

• To display ads (personalized or non‑personalized, depending on your choices and local requirements).
• To improve performance, stability, and user experience (e.g., diagnostics and crash insights via partner tooling).

Advertising ID on Android

Our Android app may request the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission to access the device’s Advertising ID (AAID) used for ad delivery and measurement through Google AdMob. You can reset or remove the Advertising ID and control ad personalization in your device settings.

Your Choices

• Personalized vs non‑personalized ads: Where required by law (e.g., in the EEA), we may ask for your consent for personalized ads. You can decline and continue with non‑personalized ads.
• Android controls: On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Google settings on your device.
• iOS controls: On iOS, you can allow or deny tracking via App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If denied, non‑personalized ads may be shown.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

• Consent: For personalized advertising where required.
• Legitimate interests: For essential app functionality, basic analytics, and non‑personalized advertising.

Sharing of Information

• With service providers and partners: We share information with Google AdMob and related Google services to deliver and measure ads.
• No sale of personal information: We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

We do not maintain user profiles or store personal data on our own servers. Our advertising partners may retain data in accordance with their policies and applicable law.

International Transfers

Data processed by our partners (e.g., Google) may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Such transfers are handled under those partners’ safeguards and compliance frameworks.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
