Does the app need internet?
Core calculations (molar mass, stoichiometry, pH, gas laws, dilution, Beer–Lambert, osmolarity) are offline. Network is only used for ads and tracking consent prompt (if shown).
Are my formulas or inputs uploaded?
No. All parsing and numeric processing happens on the device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why do I see a tracking permission dialog?
iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) is required for personalized ads. Declining still allows non‑personalized ads with full functionality.
pH differs from my textbook?
The app applies weak acid/base approximations and a 5% rule check; differences usually come from simplification vs. exact equilibrium expressions.
Which constants are used?
Higher‑precision gas constant (R = 0.082057 L·atm·K⁻¹·mol⁻¹) and precise Avogadro number. Values are rounded only for display readability.
Hydrates supported?
Yes, formats like CuSO4·5H2O or CuSO4.5H2O are parsed by splitting at middle dot or period and multiplying appropriately.
What if an ad doesn’t load?
It silently hides; calculations remain unaffected. Check connection or try relaunching if persistent.
Can I export data?
Currently no server sync or export feature—by design for privacy. You can manually copy results.
Does it store personal information?
No accounts, no personal fields. Only optional email you send us for support is stored temporarily.
Edge case handling?
Invalid formulas, negative or zero values trigger validation messages instead of crashes.
Troubleshooting
Formula Parsing Errors
Ensure correct capitalization (e.g., NaCl, not NACL) and balanced parentheses. Hydrates: use middle dot (·) or period.
No pH Output
Check concentration > 0 and acid/base strength selection if applicable.
Unexpected Result
Re‑enter inputs carefully; if still off, email us with: device model, iOS version, input set, screenshot (if possible).
Data & Privacy Summary
