Information Collection and Use

Data You Import

When you import CSV files into Heatmap:

• All data processing occurs locally on your device
• Your CSV files are never uploaded to our servers
• We do not have access to the content of your files
• Your data remains private and under your control at all times

Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information. Heatmap does not require you to:

• Create an account
• Provide your name, email, or contact information
• Share any personally identifiable information
• Log in or authenticate

Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics through standard iOS analytics to help improve the app, including:

• App crashes and performance issues
• General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)
• Device type and iOS version (for compatibility)

Important: This data is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify you or access your CSV data.

Advertising

Google AdMob

Heatmap displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain information for ad personalization and analytics. This includes:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA)
• IP address (for general location)
• Device information and operating system
• Ad interaction data

You can control ad personalization through your iOS Settings:

• Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
• Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
• Toggle off "Personalized Ads"

Data Storage

Any data you import or create within Heatmap is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain any servers or databases that store your information. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed with it.

Third-Party Services

Heatmap uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob

For displaying advertisements. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

iOS File Picker

To allow you to select CSV files from your device. This is a native iOS feature and does not share your files with us or any third party.

Children's Privacy

Heatmap does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we don't collect personal information from any users, the app can be used by anyone. However, ads displayed through AdMob are subject to Google's policies regarding children's content.

Data Security

Since all data processing occurs on your device and we don't collect or transmit your data, your information is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend:

• Keeping your iOS device updated with the latest security patches
• Using a strong device passcode or biometric authentication
• Being cautious about where you import sensitive data

Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is on your device and accessible to you at any time
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all locally stored data
• Portability: Your CSV files remain in their original format and location
• Ad Preferences: Control ad tracking through iOS Settings
