Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my flight progress show 20% immediately?

A: This is correct! If your flight has already departed, the progress bar shows the actual percentage of the flight completed. For example, if 1 hour has passed on a 5-hour flight, it will show 20%. The progress updates in real-time every second.

Q: My airport doesn't have automatic timezone detection. What should I do?

A: You can manually select the timezone by tapping the "Change" button next to the timezone field. We support 70+ major airports, and the list is continuously expanding. Common airports like TPE, HKG, NRT, HND, KIX, ICN, LAX, SFO, JFK, LHR, and more are fully supported.

Q: How do I set up arrival notifications?

A: Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner, then select your preferred notification time: 30, 60, or 90 minutes before arrival. Make sure to allow notifications when prompted.

Q: What time format should I use when entering flight times?

A: Always enter the times exactly as shown on your flight ticket. For example:

  • If your ticket shows departure at 16:43 Tokyo time, enter 16:43
  • If your ticket shows arrival at 20:43 Kaohsiung time, enter 20:43
  • The app will automatically handle timezone conversions

Q: Does the app handle Daylight Saving Time?

A: Yes! The app uses the IANA timezone database, which automatically handles Daylight Saving Time (DST) transitions for all supported timezones. Your countdowns will always be accurate.

Q: Can I track multiple flights?

A: Currently, the app tracks one flight at a time to provide the best focused experience. You can easily clear the current flight and add a new one using the "Clear" and "Add Flight" buttons.

Q: Why don't I see ads on my iPad?

A: The latest version includes improved iPad support with adaptive banner ads. Make sure you're using the latest version of the app. Ads may also not appear during testing or if there's limited ad inventory in your region.

Q: How accurate is the flight duration calculation?

A: The app calculates actual flight duration by converting both departure and arrival times to UTC, accounting for timezone differences. This gives you the true flight duration, not just the difference between local times.
